Course Description

This course introduces the shooter to the correct procedures required to effectively and safely draw and re-holster a handgun from a defensive mindset.  Holster types (retention levels, advantages, and disadvantages will also be discussed).  Qualification is valid for 12 months from the date of the class.  


Weekly Holster Draw Practice!!

Upon completion of this course, come practice your holster drawing skills on Thursdays, (Range 1), from 5pm to 7pm. Only one person is allowed on one lane. This is open to both members and non-members. A valid Holster Qualification card is required to participate. Just show up! Price of a regular lane rental for non-members.


Equipment

Required:

  • Sidearm
  • Strong-side holster (appendix permitted if on strong side)
  • Sturdy Belt
  • Two or more magazines or speed loaders
  • 100 rounds of ammunition
  • Eye and Ear protection

Prerequisites

Basic Firearm handling skills, such as those acquired in CSA’s Beginner Handgun, CSA’s Basic Pistol or First Steps Pistol class are required, prior to taking this course.

With minimum ADVANCED notice of 48 hours, one course reschedule will be permitted for another future course date.  Students must be present for the duration of the course.  Please arrive promptly to keep the class on the schedule.
