Description

The primary responsibility of the Retail Team Lead is to assist and support the Retail Manager in executing all functions of the retail store by helping cultivating an enthusiastic, motivated and hard-working team player environment that is conducive to making firearm related sales safely and successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to substitute for the Retail Manager by performing management duties when he/she is absent or out of the office
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure new and returning customers to have a pleasant, positive and educated shopping experience, to encourage positive word-of-mouth referrals
  • Complete firearm and accessories sales utilizing the company POS effectively
  • Complete management level transactions to include close-outs, voids, overrides, returns, and nightly Z-outs utilizing the company POS effectively
  • Greet, assist and respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a manner that is in line with company values
  • Assists with managing and motivating store staff by training, assisting, coaching, counseling Retail Associates and communicating with the Retail management team areas of improvement. Supports the team with adherence to company regulations and federal regulations.
  • Analyze sales performance utilizing the company inventory management system effectively to assist in driving sales goals and determining sale effectiveness
  • Assists in managing inventory by reviewing gun lists and communicating with the Buyer on critically low inventory or frequent customer requests
  • Compliance with Loss Prevention policies to include merchandise tagging, display locks and security tower procedures
  • Assists with implementing sales promotional material and display plans
  • Maintain a clean, organized and stocked retail floor and stockroom
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • Work requires communication, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in retail management, corporate environment or related area(s) preferred
  • Firearms background preferred
