Facilities Technician

Job Description

The Facilities Technician must be a team player who will ensure that the facility is safe, clean and running effectively and efficiently.  It is imperative that this individual be proactive with maintenance and repairs to avoid range down time and to keep the facility clean at all times. This department may assist other departments as needed during peak hours of operation.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning of facility to remove lead dust
  • Monitor, inspect, clean and repair range targeting systems, ranges, HVAC systems and roof
  • Maintain records of the collection, storage and disposal of lead contaminated items according to EPA and OSHA requirements
  • Conduct inspections of roof top units and air handler units
  • Schedule and conduct regular filter changes on ranges and the air handler units
  • Daily tracking reports of various systems
  • General maintenance of plumbing, electrical and building
  • Daily security inspections of company property
  • Oversee the receiving of deliveries
  • Daily removal of trash from ranges and facility, both inside and outside
  • Monitor restroom for cleanliness and make sure supplies are stocked
  • Sub in as a Range Safety Officer as needed
  • Build props for CSA events
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Requires 2 or more years of experience in Maintenance Management, corporate environment or related area(s)
  • Firearms background is strongly preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to be detail oriented and provide timely response
  • Ability to maintain established deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time and prioritize projects in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a team player who is motivated, punctual, reliable and genuinely cares about personal work performance
  • Must have general experience with plumbing, electrical and building maintenance
  • Must be eager and easily trained

Physical Demands

The required physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job include the ability to stand for long periods of time, walking, hearing, seeing, use of hands and arms and the use of legs to lift.  Additionally, the employee must physically be able to hold, lift and operate all types of firearms.  This individual must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee can expect to regularly work in an environment that provides for high levels of noise, dust and possible exposure to lead.
