The Range Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and employees of both the Range Rental Department and the shooting Ranges. Providing both exceptional customer service and an organized, efficient, and safe shooting environment for both customers and employees is paramount.


  • Completes range operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
  • Maintains range staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees
  • Manages range staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Manages the Range rental counter operations, inventory, and rental firearm program
  • Functioning knowledge of the point of sale system
  • Lead by example to train and reinforce company procedures
  • Open and close cash wraps
  • Maintain firearm safety at all times
  • Educate customers on best range safety practices and overseeing range rule enforcement
  • Greeting, assisting, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints in a manner that is in line with company values
  • Monitor to ensure that lead safety program is strictly followed
  • Track and analyze range sales
  • Develop and market sales promotions as needed to encourage range traffic
  • When necessary, ability to work range rental counter or as a Range Safety Officer
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Physical Demands

The required physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job include the ability to stand for long periods of time, walking, hearing, seeing, use of hands and arms, and the use of legs to lift.  Additionally, the employee must physically be able to hold, lift and operate all types of firearms.  This individual must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee can expect to regularly work in an environment that provides for high levels of noise, dust and possible exposure to lead.
